I love this beautiful mandala pattern on the base of this market bag!
And I have made this bag several times now but could not resist this lovely variegated cotton yarn which is soft grey and white with just a touch of pink scattered throughout. The yellow one I previously crocheted made me think of lemons and this one makes me think of a bag full of multi-coloured balls of yarn… just begging to be piled in!
This time I made the bag exactly according to the pattern, counting the stitches and concentrating hard on the seam to line it up perfectly. I would have loved to make an extra row around the handle but there wasn’t enough yarn and it was a toss up between buying another ball for one more row or leaving well alone. “Leave alone” won.
